Question for Muslims, in light of Fort Hood...?
Imam Anwar Al Awlaki is a U.S. citizen (The 9/11 Commission Report, pg. 434, W.W. Norton, 2004) , who was an imam in Denver, Colorado, California, and Washington D.C. (area) and worked as the Muslim Chaplain at George Washington Univ. (For anyone who does not know, an imam is an Islamic leadership position, often the leader of a mosque and the community. Similar to spiritual leaders, the imam is the one who leads the prayer during Islamic gatherings). Al Awlaki lives in Yemen now. In a blog post today titled "Nidal Hassan Did the Right Thing", he called the mass shooter at Ft. Hood a hero, I quote: “Nidal Hassan is a hero. He is a man of conscience who could not bear living the contradiction of being a Muslim and serving in an army that is fighting against his own people. This is a contradiction that many Muslims brush aside and just pretend that it doesn’t exist. Any decent Muslim cannot live, understanding properly his duties towards his Creator and his fellow Muslims, and yet serve as a US soldier." Do you think it is heroic to slaughter 13 people and wound 29 more in cold blood? Is this one of a muslim "duties towards his Creator..."? A side note, my duty to my Creator, Yahweh Almighty, is to proclaim the gospel truth of His Son and Savior Jesus Christ, and to live according to His words, and to love your neighbor as yourself. You can point all the fingers you want at the USA and the military war going on overseas, but even the most infant Christian would not murder in cold blood like this. Thoughts, anyone? Mr.Samsa says "But I'm sure you don't need me to point out that little hypocrisy" Actually, my point exactly. A true Christian- that is someone who obeys the commands of Christ and God, would not murder anyone, even an abortion doctor. Your point is moot, and one of self opinion. Deen says: "do not believe in everything you see or hear... a muslim who is muslim in heart is a rare thing to find today" Nice answer, you're on your way to ten points :-) Your arguement falls in line with my own about a "true Christian". My thoughts are that, even as Muslims continue to ignore that contradiction, they still support a religion that is A) completely based on faith, as any belief in something with no evidence and patently ridiculous must be and B) still supporting slow jihad by simply being Muslims. It's like saying you're a 'moderate' member of NAMBLA. Even if you're not personally molesting children, you are still supporting a world that would legalize that molestation. So you are, in fact, morally guilty. Or like saying 'I don't personally slaughter cows, but I do enjoy a good burger. But since I'm not the guy killing the cows, my hands are clean, morally speaking.'

Another radical coward who wouldn't have had the balls to say those types of things while he was living in a western country. Typical cowardice from his type. If you are going to make the case that 'no *true* Christian would murder in cold blood' then by the same token Muslims can say 'no *true* Muslim would murder in cold blood'.
