shalom shabazi. who is he and what is his story?
i first learnt about this yemenite rabbi in 1995. i tried to search for helpful information about him but i couldn't find anything. here are few information i got from a yemeni friend.. he was buried in yefrutz village within taiz governorate.. strongly believed that he died prior the muza' crisis (no clue). he is widely respectful and honored in yemen. as poet, he is considered one of the founders of the humeni (sana'ani) poetry school alongside with other muslim and jewish poets. BUT... when was he born? and where in yemen? where did he live? what was his story? is there any autobiography, research or essay on him? any website to provide such information? what about his DIWAN? what is it about? is it available in US libraries? anyone would tell more... // 10 points ahead ;) sorry kathy_ he's not the rashash. thank you any yemenite jew around?? please answer, i need these information for my essay.
