Why does the Quran claim that ''Uzair'' is worshipped by Jews?!

Why does the Quran claim that ''Uzair'' is worshipped by Jews?! :S?
The Quran claims that Jews exalted Ezra as a son of God. The Jews call 'Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call the Christ a son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth! (Qur'an 9:30) They take their priests (Ahbar) and their anchorites to be their lords in derogation of Allah, and (they take as their Lord) Christ the son of Mary; yet they were commanded to worship but One Allah: there is no god but He. Praise and glory to Him: (Far is He) from having the partners they associate (with Him).(Qur'an 9:31) No Jewish sources available to us mention worshipping of Ezra as the “son of God” by Jews.[6] David Waines sates there is no data supporting this claim.[7] John Kaltner, agrees saying that there is no solid evidence to support the claim that the Jews of Medina viewed Ezra as a son of God.[8] According to John Kaltner, the Qur'anic verse on Ezra is the only place where the Qur'an accuses Jews of polytheism and that this reference is obscure and remains a mystery.[8] According to the Encyclopedia Judaica entry on Ezra, "Muhammed claims (Sura 9:30) that in the opinion of the Jews, Uzayr (Ezra) is the son of God. These words are enigma because no such opinion is to be found among the Jews, even though Ezra was singled out for special appreciation (see Sanh. 21b; Yev. 86b)." The Encyclopedia Judaica then later states excuses Muslim apologists have came up with because of the statement being unfounded. It later says H. Z. Hirschberg proposed based on what Ibn Hazm said, (Ibn Hazm was a 10th century Muslim Spanish apologist who never lived in Yemen, yet who claimed there was some group of Yemenite Jews who believed that 'Uzayr was indeed the son of Allah'.) that perhaps just the righteous of Yemen believed Ezra was the son of God.[9] However there is no evidence of this group's existence. [10] Furthermore this seems odd when you consider the fact that according to the Encyclopedia Judaica entry on Ezra, the Yemenite Jews do not name their children Ezra, because according to their accounts, Ezra cursed the Yemenite Jews to be poor because they would not move to Israel. It also seems odd when you consider that the Book of Ezra which is accepted by Jews says specifically Ezra is the son of Seraiah. According to Charles Cutler Torrey, Muhammad made this assertion so as to claim pure monotheism for the Muslims alone, in his day.[4] FOR FULL ARTICLE http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uzair Sherazad, Islam evolved too to become a piece of crap... ever thought about that?

The Jews’ idea that ‘Uzayr is “a son of Allaah” What does this beginning part of Surah Taubah 9:30 refer to? "The Jews call 'Uzair (Ezra) a son of Allah..." Please answer as thoroughly as possible and feel free to provide references to more detailed and extensive discussions of this matter (Arabic langu Praise be to Allaah. When Allaah issued the command to fight the Jews and Christians, in the aayah (interpretation of the meaning): “Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allaah, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allaah and His Messenger (Muhammad), (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islam) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued” (al-Tawbah 9:29) -- He then stated the reason that made it obligatory to fight them, which was their disbelief in Allaah and their shirk – which included their speaking ill of Allaah by attributing a son to Him, when He is the One, the Self-Sufficient Master, He begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him. The Jews said that ‘Uzayr is a son of Allaah, and the Christians said that the Messiah was a son of Allaah. ‘Uzayr was a righteous man from among the Children of Israel, who was venerated by the Jews. It was said that the reason why he was venerated was that he had memorized the Tawraat (Torah), so the Jews, or some of them, exaggerated about him and claimed that he was a son of Allaah. So Allaah condemned them for that and told them that by saying this they were doing the same as the mushrikeen who said that the angels were daughters of Allaah. The Christians also spoke ill of Allaah when they said that the Messiah was a son of Allaah; by doing so they resembled the Jews and mushrikeen. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And the Jews say: ‘Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allaah, and the Christians say: Messiah is the son of Allaah. That is their saying with their mouths, resembling the saying of those who disbelieved aforetime. Allaah’s Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth!” [al-Tawbah 9:30] See Tafseer Ibn Katheer, the second part of his tafseer of Soorat al-Tawbah; Tafseer Ibn Jareer; Tafseer al-Qurtubi. It's utter nonsense. In Judaism, we do not believe that any ONE person is 'a son of god'. We believe that ALL humans are EQUALLY G-d's children. Do not believe anything the Quran says about Jews, or Judaism. After all, you're speaking of a text that calls non Muslims 'the sons of pigs and monkeys'!
